More reviews and no fluff on the blog I have to admit to being very frustrated with this book It's written in such a way that you'd have to be a very beginner amateur to get a use out of a lot of the information contained But a beginner amateur is very unlikely to have any kind of skills that would produce marketable commercial grade photography that would appeal to a corporate client I had thought at first that it was a transition from film into digital production type of book but even then the information is so incredibly basic that it clearly wasn't that focus eitherThere are so many portrait or hobbyist photographers with a good skill set who really want to know how to break into the commercial market The cover of this book makes it seem like it will give you the tools you need to take your work to the next level and make marketable portfolio images Or that will help you appear professional ifwhen you do get a commercial client But really it's about the basics of nearly any photography sessionPerhaps a apt title would be Sessions for Dummies and they could market it in the XX for Dummies series But for those looking for detailed industry insider information that isn't obvious unless you've done a lot of commercial work well this isn't the book for that Very disappointing
